About Lagoon Resort
ESTABLISHED IN MOUNT DANDENONG, VIC
Lagoon Resort is a biodiversity conservation and research sanctuary dedicated to studying marine life interactions. From our base camp, we combine satellite tracking telemetry with digital simulators to analyze fish behavior and local tourist activity.
Lagoon Conservation
Our research teams monitor shallow water bays and study how fish adapt to human presence. By observing interactions between bathers and reef fish, we provide guidelines for eco-friendly resort layouts and marine reserve zones.
Satellite Observation
Working in coordination with astronomical observatory telemetry, we track reef temperature fluctuations, salinity parameters, and algae bloom cycles. Our findings are shared with universities, research coalitions, and government ecological departments.
Eco-Simulator Program
Our interactive Lagoon Nibbler simulator is designed to educate the public on lagoon balance. Navigating from the perspective of a small fish helps visitors understand how commercial angling and foot traffic disrupt shallow reef zones.
